Popular YouTuber Madhumita from Tamil Nadu has gone missing with her husband and daughter. She became famous for her reels showing off bundles of gold and cash on social media, but now she has locked herself in her house and disappeared fearing a police investigation. Her hometown is Tammathukkonam near Nagarkovil in Kanyakumari district.

What really happened?
Madhumita used to frequently post videos on her YouTube and Instagram accounts showing off large amounts of gold ornaments and money. Four thieves, attracted by these videos, broke into her house and stole 118 savars of gold ornaments worth about Rs. crore. The police, who registered a case in this incident, investigated and arrested four accused. 98 savars of gold were recovered from them. The police said that the accused confessed to the theft by breaking the door with a case cutter when Madhumita's family went out.

An unexpected twist in the story
While the investigation into this theft case was ongoing, another case was registered against Madhumita. Pechimuthu, an 89-year-old building contractor from Tirunelveli, filed a police complaint against her. He alleged that Madhumita had made acquaintance with him in 2022, had stolen a 5-carat gold chain from his neck while he was travelling in a car, and had threatened him if questioned.

Based on this complaint, the Rajakkamangalam police registered an FIR against Madhumita. Fearing police investigation, Madhumita locked herself in her house with her husband Vinod Kumar and daughter and fled. As this news went viral on social media, her old videos have become a topic of discussion again. Currently, the police are searching extensively for her.
