Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lashed out at the rival party. He said that some people had ploughed the road laid by his government with a tractor, which he said was a sign of their demonic joy and madness. He expressed his anger at a media conference organized in Undavalli in the wake of the local body elections. "I saw it on TV today. When we laid roads, they ploughed that road with a tractor. I don't understand whether they can't bear it or whether it is madness or demonic joy," Chandrababu said.
On one hand, he criticized that while he is providing development and accountable governance, on the other hand, some people are giving priority to destruction. He said that his government is providing 55 types of services and that people are taking feedback on every service, from RTC buses to hospitals, Anna canteens to ration shops. He said that they are collecting feedback through IVRS and QR codes and reviewing the performance of officials. In constituency level meetings, the public's opinions on the performance of the officials were read out and made it clear that they would not tolerate any wrongdoing and that there would be no greater accountability than this.
Chandrababu said that the 'brand AP' lost due to political destruction would be revived and the state would be made the number one destination for investments. He expressed confidence that investments worth Rs. 22 lakh crore have been attracted in the last two and a half years, and if these are completed, 20 lakh people will get jobs. He said that a massive program to provide drinking water through taps to every household in the next two years has been launched, and this will ensure that there will be no water problem even in drought situations.
Chandrababu strongly criticized the way the opposition parties handled the Mega DSC issue. "They tried to stop poor children from getting jobs by going to court about 200-300 times. If we insisted on giving them jobs, they made allegations against us. The truth is like fire. If you play with it, you will get burnt and will not be able to survive," he warned. Rayalaseema, which was once thought to be a desert, is now growing as 'Rayalaseema Rising' with the efforts of his government. Chandrababu made it clear that his goal is to bring about a change in the lives of people using technology.
