In the final and third match of the five-match T20 series between India and West Indies at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to field. With this, the Shreyas Iyer-led team India will bat first. While Team India won the first match of this series, West Indies won the second match. With this, the series was tied 1-1, and today's match became interesting.

After winning the toss, West Indies captain Shai Hope said, "Everyone knows what I will choose, that's why we decided to bowl again," he said with a smile. He said that he advised the bowlers to learn from the experiences of the previous matches. He believed that if they had taken catches in the second match, the target to be achieved would have been less, and fielding is very important in the T20 format. He revealed that Romario Shepherd was rested due to a minor injury and replaced by Quentin Sampson and Keemo Paul in place of Akeel Hossain.

On the other hand, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer made it clear that he was not worried at all after losing the toss and opting to bat. "The ice effect was very strong in the last match. However, we played excellent cricket. Sometimes our bowlers could not execute the plans they had planned. But that is natural in the game. Today we are entering the field with new enthusiasm. The toss is not in our hands, but it is important to perform at our best once we step on the field," he said.

Reacting to the changes in the team, he said, "Keeping in mind these ground measurements, we felt the need for an additional seamer who can bowl key overs in pressure situations. That is why we have brought Nitish Kumar Reddy in place of Shivam Dubey. We have given a chance to Prince Yadav in place of Kuldeep Yadav," explained Shreyas.
