Telangana Defence Sena President Kalvakuntla Kavitha responded to the Khairatabad Assembly by-election. She announced that her party will definitely contest the Khairatabad by-election and will field a strong candidate. She said that an MLC candidate will also be announced on the day of Dussehra.

Kavitha accused CM Revanth Reddy of focusing on politics, ignoring the rule. She criticized that while farmers in the state are reeling from drought, the Chief Minister is busy on tours to Goa and Delhi. 

Kavitha made it clear that she will be among the people and fight at the field level for the next seven to eight months to expose the government's failures. She demanded that 24-hour free electricity be provided to farmers continuously until the end of November. She urged that the Medigadda Barrage work be restored and completed immediately. She demanded that all elections be held with ballot papers instead of EVMs for transparency. She warned that she would block it if the government did not release a white paper on the Global Summit.
