TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud has alleged that there are serious flaws in the Special Comprehensive Revision (SIR) process of the voters' list undertaken by the Election Commission. He revealed that there is no transparency in this process and that he has also received a notice. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he criticized the lack of proper compliance with the rules in the revision of the voters' list.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said that if a person dies, their vote should be removed, and if they move to another area, their vote should be transferred. However, he alleged that there is a conspiracy to unilaterally remove votes that the BJP in power at the Center does not like. He demanded transparency in the SIR process.

Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that the BJP, which is already using central investigation agencies like ED and CBI against political opponents, is now using the Election Commission for its political benefits. He expressed concern about the independence of the Election Commission.

Mahesh Goud also raised questions about the changes made in the process of appointing the Central Chief Election Commissioner. He questioned the Centre on why the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was removed from the CEC selection committee. He warned that the Centre's interference in the functions of independent institutions would pose a threat to democracy.
