Unexpected and shocking facts are coming to light in the case of the death of a single family in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Police suspect that the head of the family may have poisoned the food of his wife and children and then committed suicide. Police sources said that a long-standing property dispute led to this gruesome incident.

Going into details.. Mahesh (37), his wife Lalita (35), and their three children Laddu (11), Mishti (7), and Sakshat (3), residing in Nagla Sri Padam village under Greater Noida limits, were found dead in a room of their house on Saturday morning. The family, who had returned from a local fair on Friday night, had reportedly had noodles and tea for dinner. Although it was initially thought to be due to food poisoning, a new angle has come to light in the police investigation.

The police have recovered an audio note recorded by Mahesh on his phone. In it, he accused his two sisters and a brother-in-law of putting his family in this situation. Mahesh said that he was taking this drastic decision because of their harassment.

Based on this audio note, the police, who registered a case of harassment, have detained all three and are interrogating them. The police strongly suspect that Mahesh mixed poison in the noodles and gave it to his family members, and then ate it himself and died.

Food safety officials who inspected the scene of the incident said that there were no expired food items there and that the deaths were due to some toxic substance other than ordinary food poisoning. The post-mortem examinations conducted on the bodies have preliminary confirmed that poisoning occurred.

Samples of the body parts (viscera) of the deceased have been sent to the forensic laboratory for complete details. Officials said that the exact cause of death will be known after the lab report comes. Meanwhile, his elderly mother, who lives with Mahesh, survived as she did not eat that night.
