Surprising the political circles, Telugu Desam Party leader Paritala Sriram has entered the fray for the local body elections. He filed his nomination today as a TDP candidate from the Nallacheruvu ZPTC seat in Kadiri constituency of Sri Sathya Sai district. The smooth completion of this process without any rush has become a topic of discussion locally.
On Friday, the last day for the receipt of nominations, Paritala Sriram submitted his nomination papers at the Sri Sathya Sai Zilla Parishad office in Kothacheruvu. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Kadiri MLA Kandikunta Venkata Prasad and TDP district president M.S. Raju. His contesting from Nallacheruvu in Kadiri assembly constituency has assumed political significance.
It seems that the TDP high command has fielded Paritala Sriram as a ZPTC candidate as part of a strategy to win the post of Sri Sathya Sai Zilla Parishad Chairman. There is a campaign going on in party circles that he will be the candidate for the district ZP chairman. This development has taken place as part of the MPTC and ZPTC election process being held across the state. Polling will be held on November 3 and counting of votes will be held on November 5. The final list of candidates will be released after the scrutiny of nominations and withdrawals expire.
