Do you want to try your luck again? We have no objection. But be careful. We have some work to do too," Iran said in a sharp rebuke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Iran has reacted angrily to Netanyahu's campaign promises to "completely eliminate the Iranian threat" if he is re-elected, along with US President Donald Trump. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has challenged Netanyahu, accusing him of trying to drag the US into another war.
Netanyahu has stepped up his campaign ahead of Israel's parliamentary elections on October 27. As part of this, he released a video on behalf of his Likud party highlighting his partnership with Trump. "We have crushed Iran together in the past. If we come to power again, we will completely eliminate the Iranian threat in the next two years, or even sooner," Netanyahu said in the video. Thanking Trump for his support, he posted, "Together we will complete this goal!"
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded sharply to Netanyahu's comments on the 'X' platform. "In the past, when you wanted to 'finish the job', Iran rose even stronger. Do you want to try your luck again? Okay, that's up to you. But be careful, we still have some work to do," he warned. "Netanyahu is dragging America into another war just to avoid prison. He doesn't care what the consequences are for Israel," Araghchi alleged.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump publicly expressed support for Netanyahu on his 'Truth Social' account. Netanyahu has been described as a "great warrior" and a "partner in peacemaking" in confronting Iran. The war of words is drawing international attention, taking place against the backdrop of ongoing tensions with Iran, ahead of Israel's first national elections since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
Try your luck once again.. Iran's strong warning to Netanyahu!
