The installation of a nude statue of US President Donald Trump in the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France has become a topic of discussion. Visitors are interested in seeing this statue, which has been installed under the name 'The Orange Plague'. This sculpture, which is completely covered in gold, stands as a satire on Trump.
The statue was created by renowned Danish sculptor Jens Galsiot. This copper sculpture, which is about 8.5 feet (2.6 meters) tall, is covered in 23-carat gold. In this statue, Trump is sitting naked and weak on the shoulders of a man.
He is seen holding a golf club in one hand and a scale of justice in the other. This sculpture is also called the 'King of Injustice'. An interesting message is written on the pedestal of this statue.
"I'm sitting on a man's back. He's slumping under my weight. I'll do anything to help him... but not get off his back," the sculpture's lyrics explain. Sculptor Galsiot explained that it was a political satire.
The statue was the main attraction in a small exhibition organized by Danish MEP Per Klassen. The exhibition is being held in the Winston Churchill Building of Parliament. Small replicas of the statue have also been distributed to visitors.
The sculpture will be removed from the exhibition after a few days. Sculptor Galsiot has previously exhibited similar controversial works at various international venues.
