Young hero Vijay Deverakonda made key comments on the hike in ticket prices of his films. He spoke to the media at Annapurna Studios on Saturday as part of the promotional activities of his latest film 'Ranabali', which will be released as a Dussehra gift. On this occasion, he made it clear that he will not allow the ticket prices of films to be increased as long as it is within his control.

Vijay explained that the reason for this is the difficulties he faced when he was a student. "During my college days, my father used to give me ten rupees every day. I used to save that money and watch films in IMAX. At that time, I was very upset when the ticket price increased by Rs. 100. That is why now I suggest the producers not to increase the ticket prices of my films. If necessary, I am ready to reduce my share of the profits," he said. However, he jokingly stated that this is an exception for director S.S. Rajamouli's films.

'Ranabali', directed by Rahul Sankrityan, stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. This period action drama is set to hit theaters on October 16 during the Dussehra festival. The film is set against the backdrop of the severe famine that occurred in the Rayalaseema region between 1876-78 during the British rule. Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead, while Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo will be seen in the role of a key antagonist. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has music by Ajay-Atul.

Talking about biopics, Vijay revealed that he had always been interested in acting in the life story of Sathya Sai Baba, but he backed out because he felt that he lacked the purity and sensitivity required for the role. He said that 'Ranabali' was the film that gave him the most satisfaction after 'Pelli Choopulu'. He said that he had already watched the film two or three times and that the censor procedures would also be completed by Monday.
