The protest program organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar has led to severe tension in Delhi. The police have detained protesters coming to participate in the protest at various places. In this process, some people attacked the bus carrying the arrested protesters in the Jandevalan area, which created a stir.

According to the officials, the incident took place while the police were transporting some of the arrested activists in a bus. During this time, some protesters not only tried to escape from police custody, but also tried to destroy the bus. However, the police immediately controlled them and shifted them to a designated area. Following the incident, security has been tightened in the vicinity of Jandevalan and heavy traffic restrictions have been imposed.

The police stopped the protesters from reaching Jantar Mantar on the call of the CJP. Officials revealed that more than 1,000 protesters were detained across the national capital on Saturday.

On the other hand, before the protest, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained by the police at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Popular social media influencer and YouTuber Dhruv Rathi was also arrested at his residence in Gurugram. The CJP said on its 'X' account that around 50 policemen arrived in a mufti and detained him at 8 am.

The police had clarified on Friday that permission for the protest was denied this time as the CJP organizers did not comply with the legal orders and assurances given during the previous protests. Currently, heavy police security is being maintained in many areas of Delhi.
