Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has strongly condemned DMK chief M.K. Stalin's personal remarks on TVK candidate Sathyabhama during the Dharapuram by-election campaign. He said that it is outrageous to make obscene remarks targeting the body shape of a female candidate, leaving aside the issues of the election campaign.
CM Vijay made it clear that such remarks have no place in an election campaign that should be conducted in a democratic manner. He said that he strongly condemns the use of obscene and insulting language by DMK leaders against women. He alleged that this reflects the culture of hatred and obscenity ingrained in the DMK party.
Vijay announced that he stands by Sathyabhama in this matter. He said that he condemns these comments not only as a political leader, but also as a son, brother and younger brother to the women of Tamil Nadu. The war of words between TVK and DMK has reached a new level in the backdrop of the by-elections to be held on October 6.
