Tamil Nadu politics has once again become juicy. Chief Minister Vijay has slammed DMK chief M.K. Stalin over the sexual harassment case registered against prominent granite trader R. Veeramani. "Stalin sir, break your silence on this incident," he demanded.

Vijay, who participated in the by-election campaign to be held on October 6, has lashed out at the DMK government. "Although a complaint was received in this case in October 2025, during the DMK regime, they distorted the facts to protect the accused. The case was closed on the pretext of lack of sufficient evidence," Vijay alleged. He criticized the DMK and AIADMK for cooperating with each other in this matter, which is why the two parties are not keeping their mouths shut. He made it clear that he will tolerate criticism of his mother, but will not tolerate insults to the women's world in Tamil Nadu. He made strong comments that DMK cadres and their family members were encouraging such immoral acts.

Gem Granites Chairman R. Veeramani, along with his accomplices Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan, were arrested by the police in August 2026 on charges of sexually abusing minor girls. It is known that the incident came to light with the video footage released by a social activist in 2025. However, during the current TVK government, a special POCSO court rejected the previous closure report and ordered a retrial. In this process, the police identified the victims and recorded their statements. While the investigation into this case is currently ongoing, it has become a major political fight between TVK and DMK.
