The way is paved for the release of the second tranche of funds under the 'Salute to Mother' scheme in Andhra Pradesh. While the Finance Department has approved the deposit of cash in the accounts of the beneficiaries, the final approval from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) is all that is left. Officials are preparing to release the funds as soon as the green signal is received from the CMO.

As part of this tranche, the government will deposit Rs. 13,000 each in the bank accounts of the mothers of about 3.29 lakh eligible students. Students admitted to class one in government schools and students in the first year of intermediate are on this list. Along with these, funds will also be provided in this tranche to those who did not receive money in the past due to technical reasons and other changes.

Officials have already completed the process of identifying the beneficiaries and prepared the final list. The Finance Department has also given its approval to the file related to the release of funds. Currently, this file is with the CMO for final approval. Officials estimate that the funds are likely to be deposited as soon as the approval is received from the Chief Minister's Office, within a week or two or next week.

In this context, the officials are advising the beneficiaries to check whether their Aadhaar is linked to their bank account and whether e-KYC has been completed. They clarified that if the Aadhaar details of the student and mother, bank account, and IFSC code are correct, the funds will be deposited on time without any hassle.
