Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed deep anger over the police detention of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders in Delhi. He termed the central government's actions as undemocratic. He made it clear on this occasion that their struggle will not stop until Central Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar resigns from his post.

After Rahul Gandhi was detained during a protest in Delhi on Wednesday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan went to the police station to meet him. However, when the police prevented them from entering, Revanth Reddy expressed extreme impatience with the police's behavior. He criticized the central government for acting dictatorially by trampling on the fundamental right to protest peacefully.

Revanth Reddy alleged that the Election Commission (EC) is acting discriminatoryly by targeting the voting rights of SC, ST, tribal and minority communities. "Those who benefited from the elections by obstructing investigative agencies like ED and CBI in the past are now using the Election Commission as a pawn," he said.

Revanth Reddy said that the opposition parties are not afraid of illegal arrests and police detentions. He reiterated that their struggle will continue under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi to protect democracy and the right to vote of citizens in the country.
