Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, which has written a historical chapter in the country's medical education, is all set to celebrate its 40th anniversary with great pomp and show. Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan, State Governor Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be the chief guests at this prestigious event.

These details were disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. P. Chandrasekhar to the media in Vijayawada on Friday. Established on November 1, 1986 as the first health university in the country, this institution will complete 40 years by November 1, 2026, he said. To mark this historic occasion, the Ruby Jubilee celebrations will be held on Monday, October 26 at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kalavedika in Vijayawada with great pomp and show.

VC Chandrasekhar praised the university for providing millions of doctors and health professionals to the country over the past four decades. He said that prominent doctors, alumni and other dignitaries of the country will be present at these historic celebrations, and arrangements are being made accordingly.
