OpenAI has taken a key step towards improving the online shopping experience. ChatGPT, a leading AI chatbot, has now introduced a new feature that allows users to virtually try on clothes and accessories. The company announced that this feature will be available to all users around the world from October 2.
How does this feature work?
This feature is very easy to use. Users need to upload their selfie or a full portrait photo. Then, they just need to click the 'Try On' button under the items that appear in the shopping results. In a few moments, AI technology will show how that clothing or accessory will look on your photo. In addition to just uploading a photo, this feature can also be used using screenshots taken from other websites.
Improved technology, additional facilities
OpenAI is using the newly released 'ChatGPT Images 2.5' model for this feature. The company said that this model can generate images with more natural lighting and quality textures faster. Along with this, it has also provided some additional facilities. Users can save their favorite items and try-on images in the 'Favorites' library. Also, there is an opportunity to search for similar clothes by describing a style or uploading photos of celebrities.
This new feature is available globally on the ChatGPT mobile app and web interfaces. Users can change or delete their reference photo at any time by going to the settings. Although a similar feature was previously available on Google Search, this will provide a new experience for ChatGPT users.
