Telangana Defence Force President Kalvakuntla Kavitha visited Vemulawada today. Speaking on the occasion, she invited former Maoists who met in the stream of life to join her party to serve the people. She expressed hope that her party would be further strengthened with their arrival.

As part of the tour, Kavitha inspected the development work being done at the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple. She strongly opposed the use of concrete in the reconstruction of the temple. According to Agama Shastra, the temple will stand for hundreds of years only if it is built with black stones and demanded that the historical heritage be preserved. She expressed her concern that the cows offered by the devotees are dying due to lack of proper fodder and water, and that they are not even cremated according to Hindu tradition.

"Former Maoists who left the forest and came back to public life.. Our party is a good platform for you," Kavitha called out. She asked for irrigation works to be undertaken in the Siricilla-Vemulawada area in connection with the Kaleshwaram project. She criticized the Congress government for losing direction, saying that people were looking towards new parties like them. Earlier, she performed special pujas at the Sri Bhimeshwara Swamy temple.
