Tirumala Lord Shiva received huge donations and gifts today. Devotees expressed their devotion by presenting valuable ornaments to the Lord Shiva as well as cash donations to the trust run by TTD.
Aarti Bindal couple from Jaipur in Rajasthan donated gold ornaments worth Rs. 51.55 lakhs to the Lord Shiva. This includes a 147-gram gold locket studded with diamonds and gemstones, and a 27-gram three-row pearl necklace studded with diamonds and rubies. The donors personally handed over these ornaments to TTD Chairman BR Naidu at the Ranganayakula Mandapam in the temple. Officials said that these will be used to decorate the festive idols.
Similarly, the 'Bird' Trust run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam also received a huge donation. Donor Harshavardhan Reddy from Tadipatri in Anantapur district donated Rs. 10 lakhs was donated. TTD Governing Council member Nannapaneni Sadashiv Rao handed over this DD to Chairman BR Naidu on behalf of Harshavardhan Reddy. Chairman BR Naidu thanked donor Harshavardhan Reddy for supporting TTD service programs.
