Government Whip and MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao has said that YSRCP chief Jagan's only agenda is to obstruct the development of the state and the local body election process. He alleged that Jagan has become a 'criminal litigant' out of fear of defeat and is trying to stop the elections by obstructing the courts. He alleged that YSRCP has filed 59 cases to stop the elections. He spoke at a media conference organized at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri on Friday.

Bonda Uma was furious that Jagan's conspiracy is to prevent the local bodies from receiving the funds of approximately Rs. 12,500 crore from the 16th Finance Commission. "If elections are held today, the YCP's address will definitely be lost. That is why they have been unleashing violence since the nomination process began. They have committed atrocities such as burning vehicles and attacking people with stones and sticks in areas like Punganur, Tirupati, Nagari, and Rayachoti. There is also clear video evidence of this," he said.

Bonda Uma reminded that in the 2021 local elections, the YCP forcibly won 24 percent of the seats through threats, kidnappings, and assassination attempts. "Jagan has a bad history of winning 84 out of 85 seats in Punganur and 74 out of 77 seats in Macherla. In 2014, only 1 percent of the seats were won unanimously during Chandrababu's rule. Jagan is trying to blame others for the atrocities he committed, as if a thief is a thief," he criticized.

They said that Jagan is the one who got his own uncle killed and spread misinformation in the name of 'Narasura Raktacharitra', and that he is now telling lies by not implementing 85 percent of the promises made in the past. Despite the coalition government being in financial difficulties, it has spent Rs. 1,60,000 crore on welfare in 27 months and is keeping every promise made, he said. Bonda Uma prophesied that Jagan is spreading falsehoods out of fear of defeat in the local elections, that the fall of the YSRCP has begun in 2024 itself, and that if the local elections are held in a peaceful atmosphere, the party will definitely be destroyed.
