Jadcharla Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy made sensational comments. He said that he would behead his political mentor, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy... but he made it clear that there was no question of compromising on the water rights of the Palamuru area. He said that he would fight with his mentor if necessary for water and that the interests of his area are important to him.
He made these comments while addressing a media conference organized at his camp office in Jadcharla.

He clarified his stance on the water allocation dispute between the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Dindi lift irrigation schemes. He said that the proposal to transfer water from the Yedula reservoir to the Dindi project will not be accepted under any circumstances. He demanded that water be released to Dindi only after Palamuru is irrigated through the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project.

Anirudh Reddy alleged that only 60 percent of the work on the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project was completed during the previous BRS government.

He announced his full support for the Jal Deeksha initiated by the JAC for the completion of this project. He said that all the Palamuru MLAs will fight unitedly for the implementation of the project. At the same time, he advised not to unnecessarily target Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for every issue.
