The murder case of pharmaceutical dealer Vineet Manocha (63), which created a sensation in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has taken an unexpected turn. While the daughter-in-law is believed to be responsible for this atrocity, the police have concluded that the real mastermind is his son Subrat Manocha (32). It has been revealed that not only did he have his father killed, but he also hatched a conspiracy to pin the crime on his wife Shalu Manocha.

According to the police report, Subrat had planned to kill his father three to four months ago. He met Vishal Gautam, who had previously worked for his father, and offered him a betel nut for Rs. 6 lakh. He instructed Vishal to reveal the name of his wife Shalu if he was caught. Police investigation revealed that Subrat had also given the house keys to the killers on the day of the murder.

Subrat confessed to the police about the reasons for the murder. He said that his father had affairs with many women and that he committed this atrocity out of fear that he would transfer his property to others. In addition, he said that due to IPL betting and gambling, he had accumulated debts of Rs. 40-50 lakhs, and financial difficulties were also a reason for the murder. He complained that the monthly money given by his father was not enough even for his EMIs, and that he was controlled in every matter.

On the 5th of this month, Vineet Manocha was brutally murdered in his apartment in Kalyanpur. He was slitting his throat and stabbed to death 26 times. Initially, the police arrested two contract killers named Vishal Gautam and Raj Kishore in this case. During their interrogation, the daughter-in-law Shalu Manocha mentioned her name, and she was also taken into custody.

However, the police found through the CDR data that more than 250 phone calls were made between Subrat and the hired killer Vishal. This raised suspicions and Subrat was questioned, and the real truth came out. Currently, Subrat has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Although Shalu has not yet been given a clean chit in the case, the police said they will file a petition in the court for her release. Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal announced that the case has been cracked with digital evidence and call data records.
