Senior CPI leader Narayana lashed out at the central government. He questioned whether a complete lockdown has been imposed in the national capital Delhi and whether Delhi has been handed over to Pakistan. He released a video on social media to this effect.

He said that it is unfair to deploy 50,000 to 75,000 police and other security personnel to suppress those who came to protest peacefully and paralyze normal life. He warned that if the center tries to cover up its mistakes, serious consequences will follow. He commented that the current situation at the center has become like a pit in front and behind. He reminded that legal experts and the Supreme Court are also responding to these developments.

At the same time, Narayana expressed happiness over the victory of the AITUC affiliated Employees Union in the Telangana RTC workers' union recognition elections. However, he criticized the Congress party for turning these elections into a political contest against the communists. He said that it is not right to call for defeating the communists with arrogance of power. Narayana said that people's movements cannot be stopped through repression and demanded that the Center correct its mistakes.
