OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has made a sensational statement that the world should accept the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI), despite some negative consequences and risks. He expressed this opinion in an interview with 'Politico Decoded'. He made it clear that if AI technology is to benefit humanity, it must face some negative consequences. He

rejected the argument that AI technology should be controlled by just one lab and no accidents should occur. He said that this would be an unacceptable compromise. "We believe that if people want to have control over this technology and enjoy its benefits... the world will have to accept that some bad things will happen," Altman explained.

He said that stopping the development of AI for fear of hacking, scams and other abuses is not the right approach. He said that he believes that people will do much more good than harm with AI. In this context, he stated that his company OpenAI advocates light regulation, and that he and another AI company, Anthropic, have different views on this matter. Overall, Altman strongly expressed the view that taking some risks is essential for AI progress.
