The issue of vote deletion in the city is leading to a heated political debate. Former minister Danam Nagender has expressed his anger at the Election Commission on this issue. He warned that if the EC does not change its stance, the agitations will be intensified. He commented that the entire Hyderabad will be burnt. He made these controversial remarks while participating in the inauguration ceremony of CC road works in Himayatnagar division.

Danam Nagender accused the Election Commission officials of working in collusion with the BJP. He said that about 20,000 votes were arbitrarily deleted in Himayatnagar division alone. He criticized BJP leaders based in Delhi for systematically engaging in 'vote theft'. He said that deleting the votes of people who have been living locally for many years is against democracy.

Danam Nagender said that he has the responsibility to protect the voting rights of everyone in his constituency. He demanded that the Election Commission immediately restore the deleted votes. He warned that protests and agitations will be intensified if the EC does not respond.
