A great tragedy has struck the house of senior CPM leader and former Kurnool MLA MA Gafoor. His son PV Kiran (41) died suddenly of a heart attack in California, USA. Kiran, who was working as a software engineer in the US, has plunged his family into mourning.

According to details, Kiran breathed his last on October 2nd due to a heart attack in his sleep. When his colleagues and friends became suspicious when he did not go to the office that day and did not respond to phone calls, they went to his apartment and found that he was already dead. They immediately informed the local police and family members in Kurnool.

Family members are making efforts to bring Kiran's body back to their country. It is estimated that this process may take four to five days to complete. Leaders of several political parties have expressed shock after the news of Kiran's death came to light. A large number of CPM leaders and activists have reached Gafoor's residence in Kurnool and are visiting his family.
