As the festive season approaches in Hyderabad city, there have been major changes in the police department. City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar issued orders on Monday transferring 75 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. The orders stated that these transfers have been made as part of administrative convenience and strengthening of law and order.
Officers working in various police stations, law and order, traffic, crime and control room departments in the city have been transferred as part of this transfer process. It seems that officers who have been working in the same place for a long time have been identified and assigned to different stations and departments.
The Commissioner clearly instructed the transferred officers to immediately take charge in their new postings. He warned that strict action will be taken against any delay or negligence in this regard. Police sources revealed that these changes have been made keeping in mind the upcoming festivals, increasing traffic congestion in the city and security requirements.
