In East Godavari district, the police have registered a case against YSRCP leader and former MLA of Rajanagaram Jakkampudi Raja. The case was registered on allegations that he attacked an MPTC candidate of his own party. The incident has created a stir in local political circles.

Going into details, YSRCP MPTC candidate from Korangi mandal Anaparthi Manikantha filed a complaint at the Korangi police station alleging that Jakkampudi Raja attacked her. She has requested the police to provide her protection. Based on Manikantha's complaint, the police have registered a case against Jakkampudi Raja and intensified the investigation.

East Godavari SP Narasimha Kishore reacted strongly to the incident. "There is no question of ignoring anyone who violates the law, no matter how many," he clarified. The SP warned that strict action will be taken against those who take the law into their own hands to disrupt law and order. This dispute has become a hot topic in district politics as it arose between leaders of the same party.
