Arya has a good craze as an action hero among Kollywood heroes. One such action movie has recently come out from Arya. The movie is called 'Ananthan Kaadu'. This movie, directed by Gian Krishnakumar, is produced under the banner of Gokulam Movies. The movie, which was released in theaters on June 25th, is streaming on 'Amazon Prime' from September 2nd. Recently, it has also been made available in Telugu.
Four friends named Murali (Dev Mohan) Krishnamurthy (Indrans) Jackson (Appani Sarath) Thangaraj, commit crimes and murders together. Police officer Sampath Rao (Sunil) is behind the crimes committed by this team. The one behind all this is Chief Minister Menon (Vijay Raghavan). However, only Sampath Rao knows about this team. All four of them feel that their lives are in danger because of Sampath Rao.
Veerappa Perumal (Achyut Kumar) supports the ruling party in financial matters from time to time. His son is brutally murdered by the 'Murali' gang. Who murdered his son? Why? Veerappa Perumal does not understand. After two years, he comes to know that Chief Minister Menon is behind this murder. Veerappa Perumal is furious. He decides to take revenge on the Chief Minister who killed his son.
Chief Minister Menon comes to know about this. He wants to kill Veerappa Perumal himself before he kills him. He recruits four assassins through Police Officer Sampath Rao. At the same time, 'Mani' (Arya) joins the gang. His goal is also to wake up Veerappa Perumal. Will the plan they have hatched together succeed? Who is 'Mani'? Where does he come from? Why does he want revenge on Veerappa Perumal? Why does the Chief Minister have Veerappa Perumal's son, who is helping his party financially, murdered? That is the rest of the story.
'Ananthan Kadu' means 'endless forest'. The animals in the forest kill and eat those who are weaker than them. However, even if all the strong animals there come together, they cannot do anything to the forest. This is a story woven around a man like such a forest. This is the story of a forest where he raises and nourishes the animals, takes the life of one with the life of another, and grows with that manure.
The director has written this story around a selfish Chief Minister, a corrupt big businessman, a sadistic police officer, and a gang that commits murders under necessary circumstances. The director arouses interest from all sides with the opening scenes like the attack on a police officer, Sampath Rao, by a stranger. The roundup of Vetri Vel Kumaran, a Sri Lankan Tamil, by a Sri Lankan commander with his army. The director also creates interest from all sides with the opening scenes like Murali committing gang murders while playing a music band.
The police officer continues to scare the four murderers who are living a criminal life and commits more murders with them. The story picks up when the hero unexpectedly enters the gang. What is the destination he has chosen? What is the goal to achieve? The questions arouse suspense and take the audience with them.
There have been many films in the past with stories like politicians, police officers getting together and messing with the lives of common people. This is also a film of that type. Otherwise, the taking seems interesting. The way the respective characters have been shaped and their personalities are pleasing. Especially, they have worked out the bonding emotions between friends. Although there are artists like Regina, Nikhila, Vimal, their roles have not been used properly.
Whose role seems to be the highlight in this film, if it scores the most marks, everyone points to Sunil. His performance as a sadistic police officer is pleasing. Although Sunil has played villainous shades in the past, it can be said that this role is at the top of that list without a doubt. The young photography, Ajaneesh Loknath's background music, Rohit's editing are impressive. Even
if all the animals come together, they may not be able to do anything to the forest. But this is a film that sends the message that even the forest is at risk when it becomes a haven for illegals.
