According to Virginia Lottery officials, a Bedford County man bought two 'Gold 7s' scratch-off lottery tickets at the 'Kwik-E Foods' store on Waterlick Road in Forest. After returning home, he placed the two tickets on the table and said that he was giving them to his wife as a gift.

Since it was a gift from his husband, the woman started scratching the tickets with great interest. When she scratched one of the tickets, she was surprised. She was overjoyed when she realized that the ticket had won the lottery's top prize of $5,77,777. The small gesture of love from her husband turned out to be a life-changing moment for them.

The couple later contacted lottery officials and informed them. The woman expressed her happiness that her husband had given her this unexpected gift.
